Christmas Blessings - The Great Money Give Away
Pastor Don, Pastor Carra and I had a great day today! Because of your faithful giving we were able to give away $400.00 to ten different families for Christmas.
We had the idea to put $40.00 in ten Christmas cards and then drive around the city as we asked God to lead us to the people who he wanted us to give the money to.
The first person was a lady in a thrift store. She did not speak English so I think she was a little confused. The second person was a lady in the grocery store with a little girl. When we handed her the card she could not believe it and kept saying thank you as we left. The third person was woman with several children. She was very happy and looked like she was in shock. The forth was an elderly man in another thrift store. He seemed a bit perplexed why anyone would hand him money without expecting something in return. The fifth was a woman in a laundry mat with a little girl. She was thrilled and stood at the door waving as we drove off. The sixth was a lady at the dollar store who did not want to take the money because she said she had a job. We told her that if she did not want it or need to give it to someone else. I am sure God is doing a work with that one! The seventh and eighth were two different men coming out of Big Lots. The seventh one was thrilled, the eight one seemed puzzled. The ninth one was a lady at a bus stop with a baby. She was very excited. And the tenth one, the last one was a very nice man at a Wal-Mart Market. He was shouting and praising God all the way out the door.
God is so good. If you have never given money out at random I highly recommend it. It is too fun! We are saving to give more away before Christmas!
